We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Steve for all he has done for the CYO program here at Our Lady of Victory. Steve was a familiar sight around the gym, and his countless hours of sacrificing his own time made CYO fun for a lot of girls and boys. We’re sure there are many young women and men out there today who are better, more rounded people due directly to Steve’s influence on them, and all time he put in making them better players and better people. As anyone could see, Steve loved to coach, and his way of making it all fun for the kids was a special gift that he had. I’m sure I speak for everyone who ever had the good fortune to coach with or against Steve when I say that he was a fine coach, a nice man, and an asset to the CYO program. Our future CYO players will be a little less fortunate than the generation before without Steve being around to coach them. I hope these future CYO ballplayers will find their “Quinnie”, but I’m not sure there’s another one out there! Thanks Steve!
